Purpose

Automated strut-and-tie modelling and design for reinforced concrete deep beams.

Key features

• Automatic truss generation. The strut-and-tie model builds itself from the geometry and loads, in a live preview as you type, with no node by node modelling.
• Interactive modelling. Add or remove members by selecting nodes, change the loads, and the analysis results update at once. Auto-Panel Subdivision adds the verticals and chord nodes for you.
• Flexible geometry. Model sloped chords, several bearing lines and pier cap pedestals.
• Indeterminate reactions. Choose between the continuous beam and bent frame methods.
• AASHTO LRFD BDS design checks. Struts, ties and nodal zones (CCC, CCT and CTT) are checked, each with its code reference and demand to capacity ratio (D/C).
• Complete reinforcement design. Required tie steel, bar spacing, bundled bars, crack control and anchorage. Choose the bars and every D/C updates, then see the typical section with every bar placed.
• Shear and bearing checks. Shear serviceability and diagonal cracking are evaluated automatically per AASHTO LRFD BDS.
• Built-in model validation. Flags unstable configurations and likely modelling issues, and shows whether the truss is determinate, before you move on to design.
• Excel import and export. Keep model inputs in Excel to manage data, track revisions and reuse models.
• One-click calculation reports. Generates a detailed PDF calc package with the calculations and code references.
• SAP2000 integration. Exports the model as an .s2k file for independent verification.

Covers deep beams, including pier caps, and pile caps. Runs as a Windows desktop app.
